DPS-MIS  HOLDS ITS ANNUAL YOUTH FESTIVAL RENDEZVOUS 2011

DPS-Modern Indian School held its annual Rendezvous Inter-House Youth festival held recently.  Rendezvous 2011 was a two-day fiesta involving contests between the 4 houses of DPS-Modern Indian School – Lily, Lotus, Rose, and Tulip.

It consisted of many inter-house competitions like debates, advertisement-making, cooking-without-fire, use-of-waste, pencil sketching, programming , group dance and  logo designing. Every student got an opportunity to represent his or her house by taking part in auditions for various events conducted during the Rendezvous.

Like every year, the students eagerly awaited Rendezvous 2011. All around the senior school, there was a buzz of activity. Auditions were conducted and rehearsals were held for students by the teachers for representing their houses.

Lily House

The main events on the first day were the debate preliminary rounds, the solo vocals, Just a Minute, and the duet dance. The prefectorial body could be seen running around getting jobs done. The second day consisted of the debate finals, fancy dress, ads up, and group dance. Other events such as photography, graffiti, solo vocal and instrumental music competitions were also held.

Lotus House

 The group dance was an extremely colourful and popular event with each house putting their best foot forward. The fiesta ended with the band of class 10 student playing amazing tracks for the entire student body. 

Rose House

 
Rendezvous 2011 was a huge success and truly displayed the many talents of the students of DPS-Modern Indian School.

Tulip House

 It also gave many opportunities to the student leaders of the Prefectorial body to hone their organizational skills. The youth festival was planned and executed by Ms. Mou Bera, Coordinator Activities of the Senior Wing under the guidance of the school’s Acting Principal Ms. Asna Nafees and encouraged by teacher representatives of the 4 different Houses.
